2004 Massey University Clinical Study Shows MyBeau Supplements to be 99.5% Digestible in Cats and Dogs

My Beau® animal feed supplements are scientifically formulated liquid vitamin and mineral products in an Omega-3 and 6 fatty acid base. This test was conducted in 2004 by Dr. Wouter Hendriks and his team in the Department of Animal Nutrition & Physiology at the Institute of Food, Nutrition and Human Health at Massey University (NZ), to determine the digestibility of the MyBeau® Dog and Cat dietary supplements. The investigators wanted to gain further understanding of the potential for absorption of nutrients into the animals’ bodies. Dr Hendriks’ team found that the My Beau® product was 99.5% digestible in dogs, demonstrating that the nutrients in the MyBeau® supplement were readily available for use in the animals’ bodies.

Vet Trials on Digestibility and Fecal Ouput Support Results of Clinical Trial

Studies were done in January 2004 and December 2005 to document changes in the digestibility of dry matter and energy digestibility when MyBeau® or Exceed is added to an AAFCO approved dog diet. Both trials show significantly higher dry matter and energy digestibility when MyBeau® Dog or MyBeau® Exceed is added to the diet. In addition, a significantly lower amount of faeces was shown to be produced when MyBeau or Exceed was added to the diet.

Vet Observational Trial

In May 2004, eighty vets used MyBeau® supplements on their own dogs and cats and provided feedback on their observations and opinions. The vets rated the products positively and reported improvements to coat lustre, skin and eyes, general appearance, and overall well-being. A majority said that they would recommend MyBeau® supplements. In a comparison with the leading competitive products, MyBeau emerged as the most highly rated dietary supplement on the market and a significant majority thought the liquid was easier to use than tablets. Vets considered MyBeau® especially strong for use with skin and coat conditions, older dogs, sick dogs, and breeding applications.

2005 Study Shows Positive Effects on Cat Immune Systems for Animals Fed MyBeau® Supplements on a Regular Basis

It has been anecdotally observed that animals seem to be healthier and are better able to combat disease when given MyBeau® supplements on a consistent basis. This 2005 clinical trial was conducted at Massey University to determine the effect of the MyBeau® Cat formula on cat immune systems. This randomized, placebo-controlled test using 16 cats from Massey’s Center for Feline Nutrition, was designed to evaluate the effects of dietary supplementation with My Beau® on a range of immune parameters, including disease-fighting antibodies. Measures were taken by immune assay at baseline, and at two and four week intervals, following supplementation of the diet with My Beau®. After 4 weeks, the My Beau® fed group had a significant increase in lymphocytes in response to a T-cell mitogen, and a highly significant increase in phagocyte activity. There were no such changes in the control group. No negative side effects were found.
